Painting Workshops 2008
Each year, I hold several Workshops for students of all skill levels.
The workshops fall into two basic categories; Portrait / Figurative, or
Landscape / Plein-Air, and are held in various locations nationwide.
In all of my workshops, I stress the importance of getting a good start, and I give a demonstration on how to properly
lay-in a painting with tips on mixing colors, composition, perspective, value, and proportion. During the course of the
workshop, I will cover these topics with more detail as needed. Each workshop concludes with a group critique, and
small reception. In order to preserve a quality experience, I limit workshops to 15 students.
Testimonials:
“Judy is a rare find: she is both an accomplished artist and a gifted teacher. Judy is definitely
the best teacher I have had and my work has improved under her tutelage beyond my
expectations.”
M. Moore, Austin, Texas
“I have taken several courses with Ms. Taylor and have been privileged to sit in on some of
her classes as an observer. She is an inspired and inspiring teacher.”
S. Goodman, New York, NY
